Over at the Student Doctor Network there is a legend. He goes by the name Phloston, and he absolutely crushed the USMLE Step 1 board exam. If you didn't know, medical students around the world take this 8+ hour long, 322-question test usually right before beginning the clinical portion of their education. Oh yeah and your score on this exam is probably the most important determinant of which residency programs you can get into. It is a source of great stress and causes medical students to spend hundreds of hours studying in the library. Needless to say it is a big deal. Luckily, Phloston now helps out other students by posting his advice and recommendations. I was lucky enough to get into contact with him, and he gave me permission to share his 26-page PDF. It includes how he prepared, what resources he found useful (and not so useful), his test day experience, and a Q&A. If there was a field guide about how to score over 260 on Step 1, this would be it. To download the PDF, and help your Step 1 score just...CLICK HERE.
