A real short blog post today as I am busy with quite a few (exciting) things.
- I am currently working to open my own site, with a URL that does not contain “wordpress” in it. I am super excited, although these things take time and money to set up. Luckily my roommate and good friend is a computer science major and is helping me out in his free time. This should happen in the next week or two.
- I decided to take a step into the world of Twitter. I am not real sure what to tweet, or if anyone cares, but follow or tweet at me @theHero_Complex.
- I would love to hear in the comments section what readers like to hear about. I have been getting some good traffic lately, but not many subscribers or comments. I want to change that. I try to always respond to comments, and that will never change.

You should think about tumblr! I like it a lot more than twitter because it’s a lot more versatile. I recently started one and I know Asystole has one too. Can’t wait to see your new site!
I keep trying to comment on your blog, but I am having a hard time logging in or verifying my credentials (I’m not a tech savvy person at all). I love the new look though, I am guessing those are your pictures at the top?
I noticed that blogger went all crazy with the word verification process, and I’ve been having a hard time with it too! It took me a while to figure out how to remove it and I just did, so it should be easier from now on. I’m actually going to write a post about this so more people can turn it off. (You have to use the “old” interface, it’s not an option on the new one. Sigh. Oh, blogger.)
And yes, those are all my pictures at the top. The furthest to the left is me surreptitiously trying to hide my identity in Valencia, Spain; then there is an alley in Paris; then there is one of the buildings from La Cuidad de Sciencias y Artes in Valencia, Spain; and the last one is a picture of tulips from the garden of Monet in Giverny, Paris. I should probably write that all somewhere on my blog!
The pictures are amazing. In three months, after I graduate undergrad, I am heading to Europe with the SO for three weeks. Can. Not. Wait.
What’s the SO? Student Orchestra? And where will you be going in Europe? As an art history major I think I’m pretty into photography, but I just bought myself a real camera (Canon Rebel Ti1s) about a week ago. All those pictures were either taken with my iPhone or a camera from Best Buy that was less than $100. So you don’t need a really nice camera to get really awesome pictures
Have fun in Europe!
Just wanted to say that I followed your blog throughout the application cycle (I am in the same cycle), and enjoyed all your posts
Hey Rosalie,
Thank you so much for the comment. I appreciate the kind words. How has the year treated you so far, if you don’t mind me asking?
My stats were nowhere near yours, so I’m pleased to be choosing between my state’s two schools (and leaning towards UMDNJ-robert wood johnson med school)! Any idea where you’ll be attending? Are you still waiting to hear back from other places?
I have narrowed it down to two of the four schools I got into. Congrats on your acceptances! I am slowly but surely writing a post about my decision so I don’t want to ruin the surprise haha.
