The Greatest Invention of All Time

2012 January 5

For the last week and a half I have been playing around with my new Christmas present from my parents…the iPhone 4! I finally put my big boy pants on, and moved into the world of smart phones. I can’t believe what I have been missing out on. It is an amazing little machine. I think what separates Apple from Android and other phone makers are all of the great apps and the simple usability of the phones.

I probably only use 3 or 4 apps on a regular basis (here’s looking at you, you angry, angry bird), but I think when I actually enter the medical field that I will be using medical apps on a regular basis. If you use a Mac computer, or if you are not very tech savvy, then trust me, get an iPhone.

I love my mac and my iPhone (also a 4). Pocket lab values is my favorite medical app. I’m also only starting med school this coming fall, but it’s still a neat app.

Thanks for commenting Emily! Good luck with medical school, I love West Virginia (70-33 cough cough Clemson). The iPhone 4 is plenty for me, I wouldn’t use Siri, although the camera upgrade would be awesome. I will check out Pocket lab values ASAP.

How do you like Siri?? I used her to send a text to my sister about an accident on the highway (obviously when I couldn’t text myself) and it saved my sister about 2 hours of traffic.

Aaaand I just wrote that, read the comments above, and realized you don’t have Siri. If your phone company ever offers to let you get an upgrade/change in your phone, definitely do it!

Yeah, I only got the iPhone 4, not the 4S. Siri would be cool and useful (especially while driving as in your case) however I wouldn’t use it as much as others may. If there is an upgrade to the 4, I will definitely get it though!
